Sharemarket Wrap 16 Aug 2012

The All Ordinaries Index gained 46.5 points to end the day 1.1% higher at 4,353.5.
Wesfarmers Limited (WES) gained 3.8% to close at $33.72 after it reported net profit of $2.1bn in FY12, up from $1.9bn in the previous corresponding period. Coles lifted its earnings by 16.3% to $1.3bn.
Tatts Group Limited (TTS) gained 1.8% to close at $2.81 after announcing that it has commenced proceedings against the State in the Supreme Court of Victoria for compensation on the expiry of its gaming operator's licence.
