The All Ordinaries Index gained 27.7 points to end the day 0.68% higher at 4,084.
 
Boral Limited (BLD) ended the day 1.9% lower to close at $3.13 after announcing that it expects FY12 NPAT to be within the range of $100m to $110m. The market expected BLD to generate FY12 NPAT in the range of $115m to $139m.
 
SP AusNet (SPN) ended the day 0.5% lower to close at $1.02 after announcing the successful pricing of a 5 billion 12 year Japanese Yen bond issue to raise approximately A$62.6m. The proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt and fund capital expenditure.
